The project seeks to reformulate the code of the public space following the development of technology and offers a 21st century version of the master plan of the industrial district in Bat Yam. Our generation is experiencing a technological revolution which changes our lives beyond recognition. The same revolution affects the habits of life and the nature of public realm. The physical interface becomes a virtual interface and the workplace and commerce where we used to shop no longer needs a permanent place. The spatial experience is in question. The public realm we long for as a society is currently dictated by motorized traffic, while the autonomous transportation which will soon appear will return control of the street to pedestrians. In recent years, the industrial district in Bat Yam has been transformed from an industrial texture to an employment-commercial texture combined with residence. In 2010, a new master plan based on the "Downtown" city planning belonging to the 20th century was approved, in which dozens of towers and hundreds of dunams of commerce are planned on the first 3-4 ground floors. The project seeks to reformulate the code of the public realm following the development of technology and offers a 21st century version of the master plan of the industrial district in Bat Yam. We are replacing the large amount of commercial areas that are currently planned, with extensive public spaces that will be used by the locals. By using the app we offer, it will be possible to rent temporary commercial spaces and adapt them to the tenant's needs according to size and use, book a place in a shared work-learning space where collaborations will be possible, book a space for personal use or joint events and collect the packages we ordered to the logistic center. The same hybrid public realm holds within it an urban celebration of movie screenings, food stalls, street performances and constant awake activity.
