In my final project I chose to protest the ways in which we classify people in our society, and the template we are supposed to fit into according to its standards. Society categorizes each and every one of us by our appearance, education, origin, gender, occupation, and social status. Therefore society forces us into a specific place in the template and dictates our behavior. In my collection I chose to free the people from the confines of these strict frameworks and social stigmas by creating clothes that break those boundaries and fit everybody. I chose to break up the formal tailored suit and change it to something more loosely by deconstructing and draping. Techniques: deconstructing, draping, sewing. Materials: cold wool, nylon fabrics, contact paper.
