The Moustache Project

Together with a fellow student Stas Krilov, we designed a mockup of a moustache - archive, based on real information that we gathered from all over the web. The Moustache Project is a fun way to show properties and information about all kinds of moustaches there are in the world, when and where they were popular, how to care for each style and of course, the notable people or celebrities that wore these moustaches. As part of keeping it fun, we decided to use drawing of each moustache style, instead of a realistic picture. Users can draw moustaches in other section of the website, these moustache drawing then added to the archive as new ones (either as new styles or as variations of the same moustache). We made a special font for the project. We used vectors, 3d and drawn elements to create a fun an interesting archive which surprises the user at every hover, click or scroll. We wanted to create an archive which leaves the users with a smile, while giving them actual information about each style, historical, fun facts, caring and etc...
