Symmetry and Asymmetry
starting point of my final project is the OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) that I have experienced since childhood, and which led me to try to control specific situations by reorganizing the way things appear to me into a symmetric picture. In my collection I connect two worlds: the area of architecture, which represents structured language (both proportional and symmetrical), created by people; and, in contrast to this, nature and water, which represent spontaneous and organic movement and which we are not able to control, at least not completely. have created garments and bags, which on the one hand are almost hovering in the open air, yet on the other hand are composed of geometric forms reflecting feelings such as stability, repetitiveness, and methodicalness. I painted the textiles by mixing liquid paint in order to achieve varied and unexpected outcomes. Materials: silk, canvas, synthetic fabrics, cotton nets and thread, plastic Techniques: painting with "pouring" method.
