Experience light and color in public spaces For the most part, we spend our daily lives in artificially lit spaces, where there is usually a limited to non-existent use of natural light. Extended periods of time in enclosed spaces and lack of sunlight have a direct impact on our physical and mental health. The project is based on a principle found in nature in the morpho butterfly, which thanks to the structure of its wings can refract rays of light and separate them into different colors. Borrowing this principle, I wanted to create a new playful and dynamic experience in public spaces with the help of the sun. The space changes with the movement of the sun. The rays of natural light refract into colors and create a new interaction with the person in the room. My aspiration is to heighten the sense of amazement and admiration, like the experience of a child who sees a butterfly in nature for the first time. Advisor: Gur Tal
