Powder cooking home appliance Throughout history, cooking food has been a tool for shaping culture, but in the near future (2050), the story of human cooking will become more complicated. We will have to cook with foreign ingredients like powders – raw materials that carry no cultural identity, and are probably incompatible with the tools we use today. But as food advances, so will technology. By combining 3D printing and traditional cooking we will be able to produce food with a new identity. In the project, I examined the ability to cook with the machine. I wanted to create a system in which the user takes an active part in the cooking process by creating an open workspace that allows for improvisation, a machine that does not dictate the outcome. I believe in cooking as the formulator of identity, pleasure and intimacy. In the future we will do this in collaboration with Manna and create a new-old cooking culture.
