Iterative New York
To see the full presentation of the project please go to https://martinbuk9.wixsite.com/nyc-kpi The project goes through a method of data scraping, analysis, description, prediction and prescription, by looking at relations between urban indicators and urban landscape geometry. As cities grow, they become more complex. Cities were always smart, they just get smarter with time. Composed by several layers of different types of information, they are harder to read as time goes by. It is expected by 2030 that 70% of the human population will be dwelling in cities. This presents the challenge of creating a new urban agenda. One that can look at data and process it, analyze it and react to it. The chosen city to research is NY, as the city government provides with large amounts of of open data access. The method will requiere a scraping, data descriptive analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics. This last one being the reaction and the change of course by design.
