GG – Glow to Go

Designing a makeup experience How is it that my lipstick still looks just like the lipstick my mom had 30 years ago? How long will I keep my mascara after it is finished? Timeless and transcultural, the world of makeup is always relevant. About a billion dollars’ worth of lipsticks and one billion makeup packages are manufactured each year. I chose to break away from the familiar iconic design of the makeup world and to reexamine existing makeup products, how they are used, and the waste they produce. GG is a two-dimensional set of makeup tools, designed while thinking of the ease of using and carrying them. The use of these products is inspired by the facial expressions and gestures that accompany the makeup ritual. The makeup is imprinted on single use rice papers that can be tossed and recycled after use. Advisor: Yaron Lobaton
