    3x are interrupting my view

Formica, MDF, marker In this exhibit, I have chosen the face and the volumetric weight of the pedagogical platform of the erasable board, which for me constitutes an arena for and a suggestion of what may or may not occur. Three sculptures are presenting in space: a tree trunk under the ax, a cylinder that is both a snowball and the rock of Sisyphus that has stopped moving, and a cabinet whose door lengthens until it becomes a board again. Authority in my world, given in a dialectical no-man's land, absent but also standing as a supreme value, led me to sculpt it and to grant sovereignty to form – to the teaching body – but also to negate it through sketching and engraving. This action comes as a double opposition, both to the temporary nature of the board and to the symbolic "history" of it, which is loaded in its function and remaining traces. In addition, it invites a parallel encounter around the question of the dosage between the craftsmanship of the learner and the creator – how much of the board remains white and how much is processed, what is both its potential and the potential of those who will bring it to actualization. These structures embody simultaneously an abstract documentation of the "problem" but also are the tools for its resolution. This work sees three-dimensionality as a worthwhile goal arising out of a desire to produce a physical and real presence.
