Installation Charcoal drawings and putty on wall, two video works: ”Mountain King“ [LO:OP], ”The UnPerfect Human“ [07:00]. “Mountain King” Matzof Unit 247 was a secret military unit founded in 1955 in order to captivate Mount Scopus which was a demilitarized enclave within Jordanian territory.In accordance with the provisions of the 1948 UN-sponsored ceasefire agreement with the Jordanians, Israel was prohibited from changing the manpower situation on Mount Scopus, building, fortifying, arming or replacing old weapons with new ones, raising or lowering any equipment from Mount Scopus. The unit was fortifying positions, gathering intelligence and smuggling weapons, ammunition and defenses in sophisticated ways. The commander of the mountain was called ”King“ and the regular staff composed of 8 soldiers was called ”King‘s boys“. On June 10 1967 the mission of Matzof 247 came to an end. Light. “The UnPerfect Human” This work stemmed from the attempt of dissecting the UnPerfect Human, of expanding the twilight zones, of lingering in transitions and reassembling it through psychic rituals. It is a search for the deepest core of the soul and redemption through the self. A ritual is a pick relating to a certain state of mind, which is also linked to the time and place where it occurs. This work came to life during my stay in Krakow, a state complex due to its very being, due to my very being, due to the very being of that land. Krakow, May 2019, 1°-16°
