My photography is closely related to ontology. I photograph reality as I am able to perceive it - its life, its emotions, its unfolding events. I explore the nature of things in the world and their interconnections while metaphysically rewriting both my perception of reality and the way my consciousness relates to the latter. My photographic sequences show images that connect matter and soul, matter and essence, accidental and planned, thought and reality. These pictures aim to capture the periphery rather than the world itself, hence my focus on the less conscious places (as opposed to the acknowledgment of the camera as is commonly accepted today). Most times, I take a picture and move on. I have never tried to reproduce the same picture twice: whether a flower, a tree, a woman or a color, it isn’t the specifics of the image that hold any importance to me but rather the moment and feeling encapsulated in its story. The use of the camera and the handling of analog material allow me to express the way I process the world through the senses.
